Test Blog

23 November 25

Type for the post will go here and look like this kinda sorta. I'm going to write some stuff to fill up the text box just to test some things out and make sure everything fits. It's currently 4:48 in the morning. When the labs open, I plan to go there and try finishing my animatic for my 2D storytelling class. At first, I was really excited for that class! I really enjoy storyboarding- and that entire class is just storyboarding. However, I've lost motivation for our current (final) project. It's techincally done; I have a few frames left to draw, and a few I need to clean up slightly - but in general, it's done. The issue is, the boards aren't very polished. More specifically, the characters do not look like their characters... they look like mannequins with no detail lol. When I first drew these boards, I tried to get them done quickly, hence why I used that mannequin look. But that's biting me in the ass now since I have to go back and pretty much redraw all the characters with more detail. It's tedious!

I also originally made a prototype for this website in figma to help plan the layout, but I guess I made everything way too big since looking at this site feels like I'm looking at safari on my grandma's phone LMAO. All the type is too big imo. But maybe people are fine with that? Lmk if what you think, random person reading this. I also need to figure out what font(s) and colours I want to use for the site. I'll figure that out later, tho. First I gotta make sure everything is working.

Since I have the blog stuff done (kinda), I gotta work on the artwork page and get the filters workin. I also need to implement the "make image fit the box container size" thing to those images. The code over there is just an image i manually resized placed ontop of the tags, while for the blog home page, the images are set inside a specific sized box that they are resized to. TL;DR I figured out how to auto-resize images and I need to implement that feature into the artwork page. Mostly to make my life on the back-end easier. Kinda like how I make your mom's back end easier haha gotem.

Fuck you I don't need to please you.

Anyway, I also need to figure out how to make links look different in different elements. I know how to change what links look like + how they respond to actions, but I only know how to do that for the entire CSS file- not a singular element. For example, I want the links in this post to appear different from the navigation links at the top of this site. I'll figure that out later, I guess. It's 5:37am at the time of ending this post.
